THE YOUNGSTOWN CLASS B 16U COLT ALL STAR TEAM WINS THE PONY COLT WEST REGION IN BEAVER FALLS PA. THE TEAM TRAVELLED TO GREENSBORO NORTH CAROLINA AND WON THE PONY EAST REGIONAL TOURNAMENT EARNING A TRIP TO THE PONY WORLD SERIES IN ILLINOIS.

Coach Don Zeisler founded the Avalanche taking over the Class B Franchise from the Glaciers in 2016. Coach has 10 years as an 18U Head Coach as well as 10 years as a class 1 high school baseball umpire. Going into his 9th year as a Franchise owner he will be back on the field this year as 3rd base coach for our 18U Cene team this year.

Coach Ken Krainock partnered with Coach Zeisler in 2020 and took over as Director of Operations and Player Personnel. Coach has over 25 years experience as a head coach at the high school and club team level with a Nevada State Championship under his belt in 1999. In 2003 Coach was elected into the Ursuline High School Sports Hall of Fame for baseball.

Coach Shawn Boyer is entering his 6th season as 18U Head Coach with a 87--52 record and 3 straight playoff appearances and bids to NABF World Series. Coach Boyer led the Avalanche 18U to a 2024 Babe Ruth Ohio State Championship and a East Regional Championship while placing over 50 players in college baseball programs over his 6 years with us.

Coach Todd Donatelli is starting his 7th season with the Avalanche and is head Coach of the 16U Program. Coach led the 16U team to the Pony World Series in 2024 after winning the East Region in Greensboro North Carolina. At the World Series he guided the team to victory over Japan!

AVALANCHE ACADEMY OFFERS INSTRUCTION TO ALL BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL PLAYERS THAT ARE ALREADY PART OF AVALANCHE NATION AND TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. WE OFFER PRIVATE AND SEMI PRIVATE SLOTS. WE COVER HITTING, PITCHING AND FIELDING. ALL INSTRUCTION IS DONE BY USA BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL CERTIFIED COACHES.
INDIVIDUAL LESSONS: $ 40.00 for 30 minutes, 75.00 for 1 hour
PAIR LESSONS $ 25.00 per player for 30 minutes 45.00 per player for 1 hour
TECHNOLOGY EVALUATION ( E.G, RAPSODO) 125.00 per hour
